Apparently, it's been successful in bringing folks to Michigan. Travel Michigan says that 2010 saw spending by out-of-state visitors surpass that of Michigan residents for the first time. Research for 2011 hasn't been released yet, said Travel Michigan's George Zimmerman, who recently spoke in Grand Rapids.
